About Brandon Font

The Brandon Font is a sans-serif typeface created by Hannes von Döhren from HVD Fonts between 2009 and 2010.

The Brandon Font is sometimes called the Brandon Grotesque Font. It is a sans serif type family of six weights with matching italics. This font was created through the inspiration from the geometric style sans serif that were prevalent during the 1920s and '30s. The fonts are based on geometric forms that are optically modified for better legibility.

The Brandon Font has a well-designed look with a warm touch. The thin and black weights are excellent performers on display. Moreover, the light, medium, and regular weights are well suited to longer texts. The restrained and small x-height forms lend the font a distinctive elegance.

With the slightly smooth-edged corners of the font, Brandon counters the cool and formal character of the structured sans serif. Besides, it gives a warm complexion to the decent character of the font created by the low x-height. The rounded-off corners give the font a modern touch that is borne out by the faintly conical stroke in letters, “n”, “p” or “r”.

Brandon is available in six-stroke widths including thin and black forms of the thin font style that are condensed almost to a hairline. A matching Italic font style for all stroke widths is also available. Here the slanted letters are more narrowly and justified slightly. In addition, the “g” changes to the monocular form, the “a” changes to the closed form, while the “f” is given a crossbar, while the common “e” is a more rounded form.

Thanks to its modest, neutral, and distinctive character, the Brandon Font can be used in several areas of application. This font is more suitable for display purposes. Besides, the other stroke widths cut a very fine figure in the area of text. The combination of designed sans serif with elements of modern typography makes the Brandon Font highly ideal to enhance your layouts.

Brandon comes is created for complex and professional typography. This is one of the OpenType fonts that have a stretched character set to support East and Central European as well as Western European languages. The interesting thing is that Brandon Font was awarded the TDC2 Award in 2011.

Note that this font is meant for personal use only. You can use it to make any print type you want. This sans serif font family text will help you stand out with perfectly curved fonts that will make your printout appear amazing.
