About We The People Font

I'm not sure if you were aware, but there is a new font in town. It was designed by the awesome folks at K-Type and it looks pretty dope. The We The People Font has been inspired by the 'We the People' calligraphy found in the US Constitution Preamble. The original document was handwritten by Jacob Shallus in 1787. K-Type has taken inspiration from that handwritten style and created this font that pretty much evokes the essence of that era.

The writer of the Preamble pretty much followed the stylistic guidelines from the German Text and Square Text. The creator of those text styles was none other than George Bickham, the legendary English writing master and engraver. Shallus particularly followed the writing styles in his penmanship copybooks that were popular in the 1700s.

The United States Constitution is a document that has been read by millions of people, and the text has become a ubiquitous symbol for democracy. The calligraphy of the preamble is often imitated but not duplicated. K-Type has also created its own interpretation of this iconic calligraphy in the new typeface We the People font.

And the font indeed has a bit of attitude. The We The People Font is just what you need to give your design project that edge it has been missing all this time. Now you can make any text look like it came from an 18th-century document with no effort at all.

If you're looking for a new font to add some pizzazz to your designs, we have just the one for you: We the People. This backslanted typeface is great for calligraphy and vintage-style text and design work. Whether you want to create a poster, advertisement, or design something else entirely, this font can help get your idea across.

What is more American than designing with We The People? Use the font for designs to celebrate the upcoming 4th of July, and it's perfect for any design project you might be working on. Whether you are creating a poster or creating an invitation, this font will fit right in. It's time to show the world what America stands for!

The We The People font is free for any personal project and educational purposes. You can also use it for non-profit work without paying the designer. But commercial use requires buying a premium license. The premium bundle also includes two more fonts — We The People Upright Bold and We The People Upright. These fonts don't have the backslant style, so you can use them for creating something different.
